  • Global Polymers Company, Tennessee

Responsibilities: Managed and implemented a World Class Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Product Safety and Environmental program for eight facilities in the USA and five outside the USA while providing IH support to all corporate business units. Advised senior as well as plant management on regulatory trends impacting their business unit.

  • Develop Safety and Health Plan for all business units, average annual DART below 2.0 consistently
  • Manage/conduct Global industrial hygiene monitoring, i.e., noise, chemicals, particulates, etc
  • Develop and design appropriate control measures, i.e., engineering, administrative and PPE

Corporate Manager Medical, Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology

  • Textile and Chemical Applications Company, South Carolina

Responsibilities: Managed, developed and set policy for a Fortune 500 company. With professional staff, developed a world class EHS program at all thirty six company facilities.

  • Developed with others a company EHS policy and guidelines manual
  • Directed the industrial hygiene staff in routine surveillance needs and applicable controls measures

Corporate Staff Industrial Hygienist

  • Chemicals Company, Ohio – A Fortune 500 chemical company selling to the coatings, printing, foundry and automotive businesses.

Responsibilities: In these early years the chemical company had very little in the area of occupational health. The senior industrial hygienist and I developed a comprehensive framework for an IH Program

  • Conducted classical IH surveys, noise and chemicals and worked with engineering to control hazards
  • Liaison for the Company in customer complaints and visited many customer facilities to address concerns
