Kenneth DeLaet, Senior Safety Professional for Pearson Safety Services, LLC is a well-recognized safety professional in the Memphis, Tennessee, area. Ken attended Williams Baptist College where he studied Religious Education. He began his career in the safety industry with a labor support/staffing company based out of Memphis, Tennessee.
In May of 2004, Ken became an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer by completing the OSHA 500 Course. Since that time he has successfully trained and educated more than 1,000 workers, laborers, project managers, and company executives through Occupational Safety Health standards. His passion for safety and health is evident through his toolbox talks, safety inspections, client interactions, and classes.
Ken joined Pearson Safety Services, LLC in 2005 as a contract safety consultant where he provided safety site monitor services on various projects. In 2015, he joined the rest of the team of professionals and serves PSS as Senior Safety Professional. His work in this position has helped businesses protect workers from accidents as well as successfully training them to recognize and eliminate potential hazards. Ken is an active member in several professional organizations including American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Associated Builders and Contracts (ABC), Association of General Contractors (AGC), and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
Ken is very active in several organizations in the mid-south that raise funds for the UT Childhood Language Disorders Program, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the Shriner Hospitals for Children. As PSS continues to “Provide Safety in Every Direction” Ken’s expertise and knowledge in the safety field is crucial for client development and future growth of PSS.
