John Bates

A native of Florence, John attended the University of North Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Sport and Recreational Management. After graduating, he moved to Memphis to take a position as a freight broker, where he coordinated all of the logistics for consumers and carriers during the transferring of goods.

John’s strong business background and analytical skills made him a good fit for his position at Pearson, where he connects with potential clients in the local areas and across the U.S. He also provides support to the Memphis office, managing it when necessary. John’s favorite part of the job is talking to new people every day, learning about their businesses and how they operate, and finding solutions that will help make their companies safer.

In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his friends and family, traveling, playing sports, and cooking.
