Jay Francis

Jay Francis has served as Director of Staffing for Pearson Safety Solutions since 2021. In that role, he oversees all daily operations related to Pearson Safety’s full-time staffing department. This includes managing personnel, providing professional consulting, and assisting onsite personnel with tailoring safety programs for clients. Before working in this role, Jay worked with PSS on many projects including greenfield distribution facilities, multiple scopes at the Memphis International Airport, and the core of engineers.

Before working with PSS, Jay served as a Paratrooper stationed at Fort Bragg, on the readiness team, and was deployed multiple times while on active duty. After the Army Jay worked as an engineer for BNSF before transitioning to safety. In his 30+ year career, he has safety experience across many industries including but not limited to stints on Alaska’s North Slope, refineries, coal and gas power plants, chimney stack demo/rebuild, underwater cooling tunnels, agriculture silos, distribution facilities, airports, and countless plant shutdowns in chemical and pharmaceuticals. Jay also has extensive experience working in disaster relief such as oil spills and hurricane cleanup.

Jay resides with his wife of 25 years on a farm in Southeast Missouri, where they raise American Quarter Horses and Australian Shepherds. They have three children and five grandchildren.
